I love a non-invasive treatment and a great skin gadgets as part of your skincare routine because they can be gentle on the skin yet really effective!. In my London facial clinic I use many machines and different technology including oxygen. Specifically the OXYJET System.  I find it can be amazing for boosting hydration, plumpness, softening lines and an ideal pre-event radiance. It’s also totally safe and suitable for all skin types. It uses needle-free oxygen pressure to tackle a range of skin issues, from wrinkles, pigmentation issues and loss of elasticity (when used in combo with specific skin serums.  The key difference from the pro device, which is important to point out, is the pro is using pressurised oxygen, which is why the machine is so big, whereas the GO is pressurised air which works with specific skin serums to have an oxygenation impact within the skin. How does the OXYJET system work?

There’s a combination of factors that make the OXYJET system effective: through pulsed pressure, special serums and pure oxygen are “shot” into the deep layers of the skin. That’s without any needles, making it safe and painless. Basically the air is pushing in at force, specific serums. 

Due to how gentle this treatment is, you can target any area. 

How does it work with the OXYJET GO device at home?

The OXYJET GO, can be used at home or in clinic. You can use it on any part of the face, neck and decollete. It includes the OXYJET 1 and 2 serums that have been designed especially for the treatment. The key ingredient in these serums is molecular oxygen, which can help your skin look fresher, smoother and radiant. This is a key part of this device! 

Some interesting stats about skin and oxygen

In the 2000s, scientists at Ruhr University Bochum discovered that the skin is exclusively supplied by oxygen from the outside – down to the dermal layers! This increased supply of molecular oxygen stimulates collagen formation and replenishes the energy stores within the skin, which basically means a fresher, more radiant complexion.

OXYJET GO Treatment

The OXYJET GO device has two treatment functions: pulse-mode and flow-mode.

The pulse-mode uses precise pressure surges so the OXYJET 1 and 2 serums are pulsed deep into the skin. It feels quite relaxing, you do have to go over each area enough times, it can take a bit of practice to get the position at its best as you work across the face, but its really simple once you get to grips with it, and it can feel a little strange around the eye area. 

The flow-mode uses a constant flow so you can gently massage your skin and soften puffiness around the eye area and generally support drainage, nice for more relaxation. 

 

Whats really important is the serums are Free from parabens, fragrances, alcohol and PEGs

They are also essential for the application with the pulsed pressure, its what is physically causing the oxygenation effect within the skin 

 

OXYJET 1 SERUM

The OXYJET 1 serum is the basis of the treatment, releasing molecular oxygen. 

It contains:

• Perfluorodecaline, a substance similar to the red blood pigment hemoglobin, able to bind oxygen and to release it at the same time.
• ATP, which stores the energy gained from the oxygen so that it is available to the skin cells for a longer period of time.
• Hyaluronic Acid in the form of different molecular weights penetrates deep into the skin, forms a deposit there and plumps up the skin from the inside out.
• Meiritage®, which consists of root extracts of various Asian herbs.
• Squalane and Glycosphingolipids to fill up the skin’s own lipids, regenerate the cell membranes and provide a soft and supple skin feeling.

OXYJET 2 Serum

The OXYJET 2 serum gives your skin new volume from the inside out. It contains a special plant ingredient approved in Ayurvedic Medicine over hundreds of years. And this can enhance the plumpness of the subcutis naturally.

It contains:

• Commiphora Mukul Extract to stimulate the synthesis of lipids deep in the skin and enhance the natural plumpness which usually only exists in young skin.

How often should I use the OXYJET GO device?

OXYJET recommend that to build up the deposit of active ingredients in your skin, you should use the device two to three times a week to start with, over a 4 week period.  You could use the OXYJET GO device once a week. This will keep your skin looking fresh.

You can also achieve an immediate effect if you have a special occasion by using the device at any time, which i have personally experienced, it really does make the skin look lovely. 

It is an investment piece however the amount of at home facials you can get out of using the system is huge, with regular use, you will see a result. You can safely and effectively use it along side all of your other home care, at home masks, peels and face massage.
