You might have read my previous blog on a new range of fermented COSMOS Natural certified skincare products called FLORENA Fermented Skincare (link to blog) and its special fermentation process – a unique scientific process which can super charge the ingredients’ antioxidant property by 10 times (vs non-fermented)!
I wanted to delve a little deeper into this vegan skincare range and what makes it so unique AND how you might include the range into your routine.
Firstly, you might think the jars are a little on the small side and possibly a bit flimsy. HOWEVER, there is really good reason for this! The jars are made from 97.5% recycled plastic and the packaging is 100% recyclable, even the paper of the boxes is a minimum 70% recycled, which is why they are so light in weight. Each jar is only 7g, which is six times lighter than most other brands meaning you can save the equivalent of three times 500ml plastic bottles per jar! Much better for the environment!
The range also includes some beautiful flower and oil actives which are often used within Chinese medicine for a variety of skin loving benefits.
Morning & Night Routine
These are made using fermented honeysuckle, hyaluronic acid and fermented olive oil. Focusing on improving skin firmness, elasticity and reducing lines and wrinkles.
I find the day cream initially feels really hydrating then absorbs to leave quite a matte finish, so no oiliness on the skin at all. SO I would suggest this is better suited to the 20 – 40 age group or those who have previously had oily skin and don’t like to look dewy. The Antioxidant Night Cream gives a greater feeling of hydration.
Fermented olive oil contains ten times the antioxidants vs non-fermented olive oil (and more than skincare hero argan oil). It also packs 50 times more omega fatty acids to really nourish the skin.
Hyaluronic acid is produced naturally by the skin, however the amount we produce reduces with age. Famed for its ability to aid the skin’s natural hydration, this skincare hero can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and dryness.
Honeysuckle, which is rich in flavonoids and known to reduce oxidative stressors, is also included.
There is also a Firming Face Mask in this range if you have the time for an extra nourishing pamper.
My favourite is the Regenerating Facial Oil which is enriched with fermented white helichrysum and fermented argan oil. The powerful formula helps tired and dull skin to rehydrate and rejuvenate leaving skin nourished, soft and supple.
With the natural power of white helichrysum and fermented argan oil in the mix, this oil is a regenerating powerhouse. White helichrysum is known for its ability to renew and restore the skin and argan oil has long been hailed an anti-ageing must have ingredient thanks to its omega fatty acids properties and vitamin E.
