Vitamin E is a skincare all round good guy, used for decades within the skincare industry in creams, moisturisers and serums for added nourishment, plumpness to the surface and a huge antioxidant boost.
It is naturally found in the skin but exposure to sun and free radicals reduces the amount. Its an oil based antioxidant often called tocopherol on ingredient labels if its been added, however if your using a plant based face oil the chances are it will naturally contain some vitamin E without it as an added extra.
Vitamin E is all about holding moisture within the skin. It helps protect against environmental pollution, it isn’t a sunscreen but it helps protect agasint UV radiation, its an amazing hydrator, a great antiinflamatory and wound healer and also helps other ingredients absorbe better especially Vitamin C, these guys are like best friends that just work really well together, they are both antioxidants but do different things and Vitamin E is the mate that perfectly supports Vitamin C to be its best. Vitamin E can also help reduce redness when applied to the skin making it great for sensitive skins, sun burn and all round tissue repairer.
