How long ahead of my wedding do I need to plan facials? this is one of the most common questions Iget asked from bridges to be. Your wedding day is likely to be one of the most memorable days of your life, so there’s no time for looking less than your best and that goes for your skin as well as the wedding dress.
In an ideal world, you would plan your skincare and any potential treatments in the same way as you would your hair and makeup. After all, it’s an essential part of you feeling confident on the day.
However, we often forget our skin and with potential mounting stress levels building up to the big day, it can really show on our faces!
In this post I share some of my favourite treatments for brides-to-be that will ensure you have your most beautiful and radiant skin on their wedding day.
In an ideal world, I would start having treatments six months in advance of your wedding day. (However all is not lost if you have less time)
If you want your skin to look at its optimum then this is a great amount of time to be adding in some technical treatments, perhaps together with a course of skin treatments for you to see the best results.
I suggest working on the basis of one treatment per month.
Treatments such as HIFU, Radio Frequency and Micro-needling along with changes to your homecare are amazing.
I have a device called the Focus Dual which gives stunning results for my clients when combined with my other bespoke methods.
Even if you only have three months to go before your big day, don’t worry because this is also a great time frame to be able to make some notable improvements to your skin. For example, the wonderful results achieved from Collagen Stimulation and Remodelling start to peak three months after you start treatment.
This is also plenty of time to allow you to confidently make changes to your skincare routine and not worry about any adverse reactions. You will also build up a relationship with your therapist as they get to know your skin.
If you are down to a few weeks before your big day then you might want to play it slightly safer with your choice of treatments.
My WOW Factor Facial is a huge favourite with Brides as it gives great results with little to no downtime but still makes notable improvements.
Working up to the week, and even just a couple of days, before your wedding we can still achieve a lot when it comes to getting the skin to look great, especially when focusing on extra hydration and encouraging your makeup to sit perfectly on your wedding day.
I treat this stage as I would my red-carpet clients, this is all about getting the skin to radiate health.
Face massage is perfect for giving the skin a boost. And LED, hydration, super light peels, and radio frequency are all amazing pre-event treatments.
I have a number of tools in my kit such as Cryotherapy and a device called Lymphatouch which are brilliant for giving the skin immediate radiance.
The more time you can give yourself to start planning your skincare before your wedding day, the better so that you give your skin time to adjust to any new products or treatments.
I see brides at all stages of their wedding preparation and I work collaboratively with them, no matter how close or not we are. Many brides love the results and service so much they continue as clients long after their big day.
Even if you’re in the early planning stages of your wedding, now is a great time to start booking your beauty treatments!
