I was not really expecting to find such a sophisticated oasis of calm down town Dubai, out of the stifling heat, moments from the wealth of designer shops of The Dubai mall, over looking the world famous Burj Khalifa fountain (Que the Vegas style music and lights display) The Address Downtown hotel and spa, an imposing building is exactly that. Entrance to the spa is via escalator or lift to the 6th floor, accessed from the hotel or via a private side entrance.
Following a full refurbishment in 2017 from the moment you enter the cool interior your enveloped in the distinct soothing signature scent, most places in Dubai are fragranced just to make the places smell good, some are a little over powering, however I loved this so much I did ask if its available to purchase and it is! candles and diffusers. Visually the mind is immediately calmed with simple toffee & cream décor and minimal furnishings. Elegant European luxury with a contemporary design is the best way to describe the spa. With as you would expect just a touch of bling with a huge diamond incrusted light feature in the reception area, which is where the sparkle is contained while the rest of the spa is ever so chic.
For a city spa the feeling of openness and space is notable from the lengthy entrance hall opening into a large retail and welcome area, to the maze of corridors linking the light filled therapy spaces. All treatments rooms are sizeable with high ceiling and floor-to-ceiling views throughout, it made me feel slightly Alice in Wonderland small.
The spa concept harmonises ancient and contemporary techniques which the facilitites and menu perfectly reflect. 9 spacious treatment rooms, with a state of the art fitness centre, the sleekest white marble double room hammam I have ever seen! beautiful “ladies only” area with outdoor relaxation terrace, showers, dressing areas, sauna, tropical shower with ice fountain and relaxation pods. Not forgetting the couples treatment room with horizontal shower ( more like a viche style bed) for those too tired to shower stood up.
This is a facial that feels more like a therapeutic treatment. Starting with a foot soak and scrub, perfect for taking the edge off the stress levels before you tuck into the softest towels and welcoming therapy bed.
From the first product applied to my face which was a notably silky soft cleanser to the gentle scrub, face massage with a divine jasmine scented oil to the spritzes of aromatherapy mist in-between applications, this facial is best described as beautiful. Turmeric and aloe-Vera face mask which felt cooling and nourishing and the hot wrap around my middle made me feel like Im receiving a warm hug throughout. This Ayurvedic inspired facial was the perfect antidote for a city stressed lady. Completed with a relaxing foot and leg massage, at which point I don’t remember too much else as I totally drifted off.
The treatment menu is vast, couples treatments, Hammam rituals, slimming treatments, scrubs, exotic massages from around the globe. More than 10 facial options across their chosen skincare brands, Complimented with your essential maitenence manicures, pedicures and waxing.

The hotel has a wrap around outdoor pool and sun terrace with lots of loungers available to hotel guests and day visitors for a small charge, in peak season it does get very busy.
The Address is perfect for local residence, expats, being down town its perfect for those on business trips as well as those wanting to rejuvenate in a calm city oasis. Ideal for those who appreciate chic simplicity in a world class luxury spa.
It is so chic and sophisticated, its refreshing to see something a little more pared down and not overly bling but still with a real impact. A lovely selection of product ranges, the facilitites are immaculate and very impressive all the rooms are so spacious and well thought out, making the most of the city views. Staff were notably warm, friendly and helpful, my therapist was exceptional and a pleasure to receive a treatment from.
The tropical shower was so much fun, Im not sure its intended to make you giggle as much as it did me, but well worth a play.
The menu is vast and might need some help in choosing the right treatment for you. The website images really doesn’t do it justice, it needs to be seen in person for the full effect.
