I love working out and keeping active I just love the way it helps with my wellbeing, physical, emotional and makes my skin glow. London has some amazing fitness classes and I love to explore the new ones that come along as well as stay loyal to the places I Love. I wanted to share some of the places I love, I’ll be taking you through a week in the life of my workouts and – although I’m a big fan of yoga (and will be completing my yoga teacher training this year) – I love to mix up my classes trying anything from boxing to dance classes, pilates and weights.
Find out where I like to visit and follow me over on Instagram to get involved with the conversation.
Monday
Today I’m starting the week by taking my practice to Union Street Yoga for a yoga flow session to gently get into the week. I love this haven of calm for a pit stop on my way into West London before a busy day at work – and I love their mantra that some questions can’t be answered by google! Starting the week with a good stretch and mental rebalance really makes me feel like my body, mind and skin is being woken up and ready for what lies ahead. After class, I’ll cleanse my face and put on a moisturiser to make sure the feeling stays on my skin all day.
Tuesday
After a balanced start to the day yesterday, I’m taking my workout up a notch with an energetic boxing class at KOBOX – aptly dubbed FIGHTCLUB meets NIGHTCLUB! i LOVE the classes here, It’s such a great boost of motivation to go and and punch it out once in a while, you really feel energised and you know you’ve had a full on high impact workout, with some great tunes, its not for the faint hearted this really gets your heart rate going! I always make sure I’ve got my wraps with me to protect the delicate skin on my hands from the gloves and cleanse the sweat off my skin properly afterwards to prevent any breakouts.
Wednesday
Today’s workout visit it to Clean and Lean in the beautiful setting of Notting Hill. Their Bodyism Ballet class is so great for me as I love to dance and I can refuel with a shake from the delicious cafe upstairs too. I love their ‘Beauty Food’ shake that’s full of collagen to make my hair shine, nails strong and skin glow it’s the perfect #WorkoutWednesday midweek pick me up!
Thursday
Thursday sees me heading back to a stretch session with a visit to TriYoga. The Chelsea hideaway is just around the corner from my Liz Earle Treatment Room and does such a great selection of Yoga styles – from Ashtanga to Yin and there is always some type of class at a time that works as the schedule is so jam packed. I can head for a restorative session in my lunch break or straight after my last appointment and feel the stresses of the day just melt away.
Friday
I’m taking my workout to Frame Victoria today to try one of the new Frame Lift classes. I love the variety that’s on offer at all of their studios across London – from Shoreditch to Kings Cross. The Lift class is all about weights and a full body workout that gives me the strength to improve in my other classes too – especially going into Chaturanga in yoga. I also love the reformer pilates classes at Frame, I find pilates really helps with posture and supports all the other fitness classes like to do.
Saturday
It’s the start of the weekend and I’ve decided to go for a spin class at Psycle. I opt for this class when I want to hear a really good soundtrack when I workout – they dim the lights, pump up the volume and let you really go for it! When I get my blood pumping I make sure that I drink lots of water to combat the sweat I’m losing – cardio helps to flush out toxins and feeds nutrients to the cells which helps with the regeneration of skin cells.
Sunday
I like to end the week with a workout that helps me reset so my go to for any yoga class is at the Power Yoga Co. Stress can cause significant damage to the skin and lines can appear on the skin from frowning so when I’ve had a busy week I like to make sure I give myself the best yoga session to give that glow back to my skin. Depending on my schedule I’ll try to make their true Yin class or Flow & Restore – either helps me to really relax and enjoy my Sunday, I also love their dynamic power classes, they have some of the best teachers here, and I just love the vibe and energy of the studio, I know I am guaranteed of a great class here.
I hope you enjoyed my week of workouts! I’d love to know if you think there’s any new places I should try out – let me know in the comments on my Instagram page.
